Murder mystery revisits the Roaring 20s
JEFFERSON-The Friends of the Jefferson Township Library are returning to the Roaring Twenties for their annual murder mystery at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6. in the library at 1031 Weldon Road. This year's mystery, "Funeral for a Gangster," travels to the 1928 speakeasy "Ruby's Place" for a service honoring Vito "The Gut" Marzetti. Playing the mourners and more are township residents Frank Bland, Lorrie Hardy, Ginny Paccioretti, Jim Paccioretti and Rich Yocum, with Janet Breckenridge and librarian Seth Stephens in special appearances. The mystery, which is the friends' major fundraiser, is being directed and produced by members Kathy Biehl and Lynda MacDonald. Admission is $12 and includes refreshments and door prizes from local merchants. A grand prize awaits the person who solves the crime.
