Musical program at Holy Counselor

Vernon — Holy Counselor Lutheran Church presents a Christmas Concert on Sunday afternoon, Dec. 18 at 3 p.m. Under the direction of music director June Tarantino, the church choir, accompanied by a chamber orchestra consisting of strings, brass, woodwinds and percussion, kicks off the Christmas week celebration with this free concert, open to all. Soloist and quartets will be featured performing various Christmas selections, followed by the church's featured cantata, Lloyd Larson's "Holy Night of Miracles," a cantata of hope for Christmas. The program blends familiar carols with new Christmas anthems. There is no admission and there will be an opportunity for a free-will offering. Refreshments will be served afterward.
