Musical show at library

    Vernon — Mezzo-soprano Betsy Mackenzie-Stubbs, accompanying herself on the folk harp, will perform repertoire from various musical genres at a free performance 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 13, at the Dorothy E. Henry Branch Library. Mackenzie-Stubbs has taught on the voice faculties of Caldwell College, Kean University, Drew University, Westminster Conservatory of Music and the New Jersey Workshop in Westfield. She performs in opera, recital and oratorio and has performed frequently as soloist with numerous choral societies and operatic roles. She and her husband, tenor Kerry Stubbs, maintain a private voice studio in Kenilworth. The program will be held in the Community Room of the Dorothy E. Henry Library on Route 94, Vernon. Admission is free, with a reception to follow. It is suitable for middle school students, teens and adults.
