New beginning for Bright Beginnings
Grand opening carnival on Saturday Sparta Bright Beginnings Learning Center has recently re-opened its doors to the community at 26 Gail Court, Suite 5 in Sparta. The director, assistant director, and teachers invite the public to its grand opening carnival from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4. Families will have a chance to tour the educational facility, which was previously located in St. Mary’s Church on Conestoga Trail. Pam Warehime, the director and owner, said the school is innovative, providing a curriculum based on the way the brain learns. It applies the “Theory of Multiple Intelligence” of neuropsychologist and Harvard University Professor Howard Gardner, who said teacher should be trained “to present their lessons in a wide variety of ways using music, cooperative learning, art activities, role playing, field trips, inner reflection and much more.” Warehime said children learn best in this way, “in ways harmonious with their unique minds.” “At Bright Beginnings, using multi-sensory themes and prior knowledge the children make meaningful, permanent connections in long term memory,” she said. Bright Beginnings is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. For more information, call the school at 973-579-2006 or visit www.brightbeginnings@tellurian.net.
