New exhibits on display at Franklin Heritage Museum

    Franklin - The Franklin Heritage Museum at 95 Main St., Franklin, and operated by the Franklin Historical Society, is now open for the season from noon to 4 p.m.on weekends, and weekdays by special appointment.The museum opened the first weekend in May and will remain open until the last weekend in October. The museum houses many artifacts from the early iron and zinc mining days in Franklin, and showcases the ethnic heritage and the history of the community. Several special exhibits are now being featured, including a historic timeline, tracing the history of the area from the early 1600’s to the present. A special exhibit will celebrate Memorial Day and feature area residents who have served in the U.S. military, as well as the influence which the Sgt. Francis M.
