PINE ISLAND-Scenic Farms Golf Course and the DeBuck family are pleased to announce the dedication and opening of their new golf shop. It will be dedicated on Saturday, June 25, at 10 a.m., beginning with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The room itself will be dedicated to the memory of John P. Williamson, a friend of the DeBuck family who was a frequent patron of Scenic Farms Golf Course. "Whether John and I were visiting while we watched our daughters play softball, or whenever he would bring his son Marc to the golf course, he always had such a positive and outgoing outlook, and we're pleased to honor him for who he was," said Leonard DeBuck. Located on Glenwood Road in Pine Island, the post-and-beam designed building welcomes golf enthusiasts to go out and play the nine-hole executive golf course or practice their golf swing on the range. The golf course, which opened in 1994, was designed by Stephen Kay, and has two par-four holes and seven par-three holes, each with their own distinct features. The golf range is unique because golfers practice their shots off of manicured natural grass. The public is welcome to the dedication of the golf shop, and light refreshments will be served from 9 a.m. until 12 noon. For further information call 845-258-4455.
