Nick Rolfe to play Bula B-Lounge

Newton — Keyboardist Nick Rolfe will perform at the Bula B-Lounge at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 2. Rolfe has shared the stage with numerous performers including Frank Foster, Billy Harper, Buster Williams, Benny Golson, Winard Harper, Dave Chappelle, Slide Hampton, James Moody, Jimmy Heath, Russell Gunn, T.S. Monk, Roy Hargrove, Amel Larrieux, Alison Crockett, Lizz Wright and Malcolm-Jamal Warner. He is currently touring with the Dizzy Gillespie All-Star Big Band. Rolfe is co-starring with Academy Award winners Susan Sarandon and Ralph Fiennes in the soon-to-be released feature film, “Doris and Bernard,” directed by Robert Balaban. The music sets are Fridays at 7 and 8:45 p.m. There is no cover charge but a $10 minimum is required on music evenings. Student discount is available. Bula is a B.Y.O.B. establishment.
