Patrick Fitzsimmons and his band perform at The Fountain House
Fredon - Local favorite, Patrick Fitzsimmons, will be performing at The Fountain House Saturday, Feb. 24, at 9 p.m. The Sparta native will perform with his full band: Tom Askin on keyboard, Loni Bach on cello, Claudia Chopek on violin and Ned Stroh on percussion. The ensemble will include Johnny Grubb on bass and John Skeehan on mandolin, both members of the band Railroad Earth. The evening of music will begin with an opening performance by Tom Askin. Over the past few years, Fitzsimmons has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the acoustic music scene, including Ellis Paul, Vance Gilbert, Cliff Eberhardt, Steve Forbert, Lucy Kaplansky, Mark Erelli, David Wilcox, Jeffery Foucault, Jill Sobule and Roger McGuinn. Fitzsimmons was signed to RCA Records with the folk-rock band From Good Homes in the late 90s. After the band’s break-up, Fitzsimmons moved to Vermont and started a solo career and has now released four CDs on his own Itz Fitz Music label.
