Augusta — The Peters Valley Craft Center will host its 36th Annual Craft Fair, Sept. 29 - Oct. 1, at the Sussex County Fairgrounds in Augusta with a preview concert at 9 p.m. on Sept. 29. The gates open at 5 p.m. for the general public to be the first to view and purchase fine craft art from over 170 juried artists. The concert features Guy Davis, son of actors/writers Ruby Dee and the late Ozzie Davis. However, Davis is not to be overshadowed by his parents. Aside from being an acclaimed bluesman, Davis has performed on Broadway in the Zora Neale Hurston and Langston Hughes collaboration, "Mulebone." In 1999, Davis won the Indie Award for Best Acoustic Blues Album for his album, "You Don’t Know My Mind." The fee for the Friday night preview and concert is $20 in advance, $25 at the gate. The fair on Saturday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. is $7 a person. Call Peters Valley at 948-5200 for information and ticketing.
