Private recital for Knollview Center seniors

Sparta - Residents of Knollview Congregate Care Center got their own private recital on Jan. 27 when Laura Morrow and three of her teenage piano students performed there. Katie Pachnos, Lindsey Baker and Hannah Cullen played piano music. Katie also played harp. Hannah sang a Broadway melody and Lindsay and Morrow sang ballads from the 1950s. Morrow said, “The residents were smiling the whole afternoon.” Morrow, who teaches piano, does music therapy on a professional basis at Knollview. She said she likes to incorporate her students into playing for all the seniors. “It demonstrates to them a great sense of community service.”
