Registration open for arts day camp
Netcong Registrations are now being accepted for the Arts Day Camp at The Growing Stage, The Children’s Theatre of New Jersey, located in the Historic Palace Theatre, Route 183, Netcong. The Summer Arts Day Camp is open to children who will enter kindergarten in the fall, through eighth grade. The Summer Arts Day Camp offers five one-week sessions, which begin on Monday, July 9 and runs through Friday, Aug. 10. The camp day begins at 9 a.m. and concludes promptly at 2 p.m. The all-inclusive camp fee is $250 for the first week and $200 for any subsequent weeks or for siblings. Each session has its own theme and ends with an evening performance for friends and family. The Summer Arts Day Camp maintains a 12-to-one ratio of campers to counselors and class sizes are limited to preserve this ratio. The Summer Arts Camp is designed to offer children an introduction to many aspects of theatre arts through creative games, music, dance, art and theatre and is geared to the child’s age and experience. Through theatre arts, children sharpen their creativity, improve their communication skills, gain self confidence and learn the importance of teamwork.
