Layton - Sixteen artists were accepted into the guest artist program at the Peters Valley Craft Center in Layton during the winter months. It was the first time the Layton-based center had guest artists in winter. While in residence, Harry Bower, of Island Heights, completed a series of outdoor installations, using bamboo, plastic zip cords and various other materials. The installations were inspired by the surrounding environment of the craft center and allowed him to experiment with new materials and new ways of working. His month-long residency also allowed for full focus on his art, without distraction, in a supportive environment. The Peters Valley Craft Center is located at 19 Kuhn Rd. in Layton.
