Retro-film festival continues with "The Ape"

    BRANCHVILLE-"The Ape," a 1940 black and white cult classic starring Boris Karloff, is showing from July 9 to 11 as part of Little Lost Arts "Retro-Film Festival" at The Ratsch Theater, 6 Broad St. in Branchville. Karloff stars as an eccentric scientist, obsessed with curing paralysis, after his wife and daughter succumb to the disease. When a killer gorilla escapes from the circus, however, his honorable intentions turn to murder and chaos. Showtimes are Saturday, July 9, at 12 p.m., and Sunday and Monday, July 10 and 11, at 8 p.m. Tickets are $6, and include movie, popcorn and a drink.
