SCCC to host second annual croquet tournament and wine tasting

Newton — The Foundation for Sussex County Community College will host its second annual croquet tournament and wine tasting on the Connor Green and in the Lakeland Bank Pavilion on Saturday, June 23, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Participants will have the opportunity to enjoy the games and sample a variety of wines and gourmet food. “This event was so much fun last year, we’ve decided to make it an annual event,” commented Linda Nieman, foundation director. “Everyone involved was delightfully surprised at how enjoyable the day turned out.” Participants will play “golf croquet,” a game that requires no training or practice and offers a level playing field for both men and women. In keeping with croquet etiquette participants must wear all white. Many levels of sponsorships are available.
