Something old, something new at SCCC's Antiques & Treasures

Newton Someone’s something old can be someone else’s something new. Come by Sussex County Community College on Saturday, Jan. 13 to find that perfect piece for the home or jewelry collection. Celebrating its sixth year, SCCC’s Antiques & Treasures will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the E-Building. Many antique dealers will be on-site, showing and selling their wares. Antiques & Treasures can provide many ideas for beautifying your home the old-fashioned way. Always wondered how much that doll your grandmother gave you might be worth? Then be sure to visit one of the appraisers who will be on hand offering verbal appraisals for $5 per item. While there is no appointment necessary for appraisals, there is a limit of three items per category. Categories include: jewelry, watches, porcelain, pottery, toys/dolls, china, furniture, vintage clothing, and general antiques. Admission for Antiques and Treasures is $3 per person or two for $5. There is no admission charge for children under the age of 12. You will be able to enjoy lunch and snacks while attending Antiques and Treasures. All proceeds will benefit the Foundation at SCCC. The snow date is Jan. 20. For more information, call 973-300-2124.
