Sparta Day is for kids Country

Sparta — The 32nd annual Sparta Day will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 9, at the Mohawk Avenue School. The events will include an arts and craft fair, rides, food, games, and entertainment. Sparta Day is sponsored by the Junior Woman’s Club and the Parks and Recreation Department. It is the last chance to register for little league football. This year, it will feature Kids’ Country with inflatable rides, including a giant slide, super bounce house and a 55-foot obstacle course. There will also be a petting zoo, face painting and other activities. The kids’ area will be at Dykstra Park, behind the library park, and on the field behind the Mohawk Avenue School. This year, Buckles & Bows of Upper Lake Plaza and Childsplayspot of Lafayette Village are Platinum sponsors of Kids’ Country.
