Sparta residents to play at Stanhope House

Stanhope — Sparta residents Steve Candio (lead, slide guitars & vocals) and Frank Belardo (drums & vocals) are members of The Covers, a rock and roll band playing as the featured group at the Stanhope House on Saturday, Dec. 16. The Covers are composed of seven veteran musicians from New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Three guitars (electric, slide, 12-string and acoustic), keyboard/accordian, bass, drums and harmonica allow the group to play a wide variety of classic rock and roll. The Stanhope House, located at 45 Main St., Stanhope, is northern New Jersey’s premier Rock and Blues Club. Legendary performers such as Stevie Ray Vaughn, Luther Allison, Sam and Dave, Muddy Waters, Dr. John and many others have appeared there.
