Spring break Sciensational Workshop to be held at Hillcrest Center

West Milford — West Milford Parks and Recreation will be offering an exciting two-day “Can You Dig It” Sciensational Workshop over spring break. Archeology and Paleontology, big words to kids, will come alive in this workshop. Kids will do simulated fossil excavations with over 100 fossils and dirt. Some of the fossils are up to 500 million years old. Discover an actual dinosaur bone and a 500-million-year-old trilobite. We will use cleaning brushes, 3 lens magnifier, labels and specimen bags, and plenty of imagination. This two-day workshop, taking place on Wednesday and Thursday, April 12 and 13, in Hillcrest Community Center from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., is designed for children 6-11 years of age. Children should bring a lunch. Enrollment is limited. The cost is $120 per participant, which includes all materials. Non-residents add $10.
