Lafayette Village has scarecrow contest LAFAYETTE n The charm of Olde Lafayette Village shines through any season of the year, but particularly in the fall when ginger colored pumpkins and gourds, haystacks piled high, and towering corn stalks snapped directly from our fields embellish the meandering paths of the “town.” The merchants of the quaint shopping center are engaged in a contest to create the best, scariest, or funniest scarecrow, and visitors are asked to choose. What’s your choice? Visit the village and cast your vote, and maybe win gift certificate at selected stores.
