Student art on exhibit at SCCC

NEWTON-Sussex County Community College's 14th Annual Student Art Exhibition will be on view from May 6 through May 30. An opening reception is planned for Friday, May 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. A jury of faculty and students from the Associate of Fine Arts degree program selected more than 100 works for the exhibition. The show includes pieces by all of the A.F.A. majors in a wide range of media, including painting, drawing, photography, and ceramics. This year the fine arts program is also celebrating a new facility that includes classrooms, studios, and office spaces. Gallery hours for the exhibition are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, call 973-300-2144 or write to jmcwill@sussex.edu.
