Subcommittee coming to The Stanhope House

STANHOPE — Subcommittee will return to the historic Stanhope House on Saturday, March 10, to whip another dance floor into a frenzy. Playing an original hybrid of rock, funk, jazz, punk, and reggae, Subcommittee have been active players in the New Jersey original music scene since 1995. Since their inception, Subcomittee have been a favorite at many well-known northeast clubs, including CBGB, Webster Hall, The Lion's Den, Maxwells, Loop Lounge, The Whiskey, Havana, Toad's Place, House of Blues in Atlantic City, and The Wobbly Barn in Killington, Vermont. Joinging Subcommittee on the bill will be The Mike Lawlor Banned. Playing an array of both well-known covers and originals, the band is comprised of some of the best local musicians the area has to offer. Over his 20-plus year career as a guitarist, Mike Lawlor was named Best Amature Guitarist in the U.S. in 2006, and has shared the stage with the likes of Mark Egan, Karl Latham, Bernie Worrell, Alan Holdsworth, The Stone Temple Pilots, and more.
