William J. Zernhelt has been appointed mortgage consultant at The Mortgage Center for SussexBank. Sam Chazanow, vice president, residential lending and manager of The Mortgage Center, said Zernhelt's experience in Pike and Wayne counties make him an ideal candidate to lead business development in that region. "SussexBank is working hard to meet the mortgage needs of Pike and Wayne county homebuyers," Chazanow said. "Bill has lived and worked in the area for years, earning the confidence and trust of the local business community and area residents. We're very fortunate to have him as a member of our mortgage team." Zernhelt held business development and real estate lending responsibilities with PennStar Bank. His banking background also includes mortgage lending positions with Wayne Bank, First Nationwide Savings Bank, Sussex County State Bank, and as executive vice president and cashier for the First National Bank of Milford, Pa. Zernhelt has served as treasurer for the Delaware Valley School district and Milford Borough. The Mortgage Center is the residential mortgage division of SussexBank, serving customers in Sussex County, Pike and Wayne counties, in Pennsylvania, and Orange County, in New York.
