WEST MILFORD—The Strawbs will be performing live at Music at the Mission on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 8 p.m. The Strawbs have enjoyed major success on both sides of the Atlantic. In the early 1970s, as well as the hit albums, their hit singles “Part of the Union” and “Lay Down” topped the charts. From the mid-1970s they spent more time in the States and Canada where their albums charted for five years as they toured with Santana, Peter Frampton, The Eagles, Joe Walsh, Blue Oyster Cult, King Crimson, and Frank Zappa. Rick Wakeman played with the Strawbs for two years before he achieved world-wide success with Yes, and Sandy Denny made an album with the Strawbs before she joined Fairport Convention. Tickets are $20 and available online at www.MusicattheMission.org as well as tickets outlets, including Harvest Moon Health Food Store. Call 973-728-4201 for further information.
