Theater camp open to kids in grades 4 to 6

West Milford — West Milford Parks and Recreation will sponsor theater camp, designed for children entering fourth to sixth grades in the fall. Campers will explore and learn theater terms, staging and all aspects of the theater from stage direction to proper projection. There will be an audition for parts and everyone will get one. Participants will be expected to learn their lines so at the end of the week the play “The Emperor’s New Clothes” can be performed for family and friends. During the course of the week, campers will explore the theater through games and have fun while learning all about the importance of working together as a group to put on a production. Camp will be held the week of July 16 - 20 from 1 - 3 p.m. each day at Hillcrest Community Center. The cost of the camp is $125 per camper.
