Sussex — Tri-State Actors Theater presents the second production of their 2007 season, the comedy, “Greater Tuna,” with performances beginning Wednesday, June 6, and running through Sunday, June 24, at the Crescent Theater, in Sussex. Although written and first performed over twenty years ago, the residents of Tuna could not be more up-to-date in a comedy that parodies small-town Texas with the city slogan “The Lion’s Club is too liberal and Patsy Cline never dies.” Tri-State’s presentation marks the first professional production of the comedy in northwest New Jersey. The assorted band of citizens that make up Tuna, Texas are portrayed by only two performers, Bill Edwards and Scotty Watson, who depict all of the inhabitants of Tuna -- men, women, children and animals.
