Tips for buying a telescope

Wantage — With Jupiter high in the night sky this fall and winter, budding astronomers may be thinking about buying a new telescope. The Skylands Astronomy Club is hosting a program designed to outline the differences between telescopes: which one is better suited for a viewer's purpose, and which one fits best into a budget. The presenter, Bob Ernst, will also cover all the accessories needed. The program will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 9, at the Sussex-Wantage Library, Route 639, Wantage.
