Tri-State Actors Theater to present A Christmas Carol'
Sussex Just in time for the holidays, Tri-State Actors Theater will revive Christopher Schario’s stage adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic tale, “A Christmas Carol,” Dec. 14 through Dec. 30, at the Crescent Theater, Main St., Sussex. The play begins with a child reading Dickens’ novel. As the scenes are played out behind him, the child becomes caught up in the story and is invited to enter the play.With traditional carols and English folk tunes creating the proper atmosphere the production also focuses on Dickens’ powerful language, humor and warmth. “A Christmas Carol” opens with a preview on Thursday, Dec. 14. Opening night, Friday, Dec. 15 is followed by a Meet the Artists reception and refreshments. Laurie Lea’s Fine Jewelry, Sussex, has donated a gift certificate as a door prize. Curtain time for all evening performances is 7 p.m, Matinees are at 3 p.m. Tickets for Friday and Saturday evenings are $27, and $25 for students and senior citizens.
