Sussex - Tri-State Actors Theater is presenting Tennessee Williams’ award winning classic, “A Streetcar Named Desire,” as an homage to the great city of New Orleans. Performances run through Oct. 8 at the historic Crescent Theater, Main St., Sussex. Following the last performance of Streetcar, Tri-State will host a Bourbon Street Bash to raise funds to assist some of the New Orleans theatre companies that have either lost their theatres or have been damaged by Hurricane Katrina and the flood. New Orleans style food and music are on the menu. Those attending the show can get a discount on the upcoming Mardi Gras in the Elks Lodge, Route 565 in Sussex. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 8. Tickets are $25, $20 if you present a Streetcar ticket stub.
