Tri-State Theater seeks youths for summer intern program

Sussex - Tri-State Actors Theater will hold auditions for its youth intern program form 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays throughout May, beginning May 6, at the theater, located at 74 Fountain Square in Sussex. This season’s production will be a musical version of Winnie the Pooh. The youth intern program, begun in 1989, offers students between the ages of 13 and 20 an opportunity to learn theater by doing. Those auditioning will be asked to read from the script. Students interested in being a part of the program must be available for all classes, rehearsals and performances. The program runs July 10 through Aug. 12. The Winnie the Pooh stories and poetry by A.A. Milne provided the basis for the musical, adapted by Kristin Sergel.
