Two from Galilee' auditions underway
Sparta - The Completely Mobile Theatre Company, a local non-profit professional theatre company, is producing a Christmas ecumenical theater production with the help of the Christian churches of Sussex County, and Orange County, N.Y. The show was produced last year and involved over 40 different churches. The production, a full scale, Broadway-type musical is called “Two From Galilee” and will be produced at the Lycian Theater in Sugar Loaf, N.Y and the McNeice Auditorium in Sparta, during this Christmas Season. Invitations to participate in this event were sent to 282 churches in the two counties. The cast for the production will consist of 75 people and will require another 20 people to help with costumes, sets, lighting and sound and other technical positions. Auditions for the production will be in three cities throughout the two county area. Auditions are scheduled for 7 to 9 p.m. in the following locations: Thursday, August 17th at the Harmony Baptist Church, 1790 Rte. 211 East in Middletown. Monday August 21st at First Presbyterian Church of Sparta, 32 Main Street in Sparta. The auditions run from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Aug. 19 at the Glenwood Baptist Church, 1863 Route 565 in Glenwood. People interested in auditioning should be prepared to sing a song that they are familiar with.
