Understanding the work of therapy dogs

Oak Ridge Carolyn King, a representative of Therapy Dogs, International will visit the Jefferson Township Public Library on Sunday, Jan. 21 at 2 p.m. to talk about the wonderful work of the therapy dog. She will bring along her dog Tippie, an 8-year-old Australian Shepherd. TDI is a volunteer organization dedicated to regulating, testing and registering therapy dogs and their volunteer handlers for the purpose of visiting nursing homes, hospitals and wherever else therapy dogs are needed. Come learn about the valuable work of the therapy dog. The Jefferson Township Public Library is located at 1031 Weldon Road, Oak Ridge.
