Veterinary House calls celebrates tenth year

SPARTA-It's been ten years since our own Sparta native, Dr. Lori Walker, responded to a need in the community for veterinary care in the pet's own home. What began as a tackle box and traditional black doctor's bag in the back of a Jeep has evolved into a state-of-the-art, fully self-contained, 26-foot mobile clinic. Dr. Lori has a passion for wellness care and uses a blend of holistic and western methods for emergency as well as routine care. Being in the pet's home has several advantages. The nervous component is virtually eliminated n for both pet and owner. Seeing the animal in its own surroundings allows for a much truer assessment of behavior and environment. The pace is relaxed, personal, and thorough. A favorite is the "Block Party," bringing neighbors together for even greater savings. Special arrangements can also be made for those who prefer the traditional clinic visit. Veterinary House Calls is headquartered out of the Pet Centre at 9 Main Street in Sparta. In celebration of its ten-year anniversary, Veterinary House Calls is for a limited time rolling back the house call fee within Sparta Township to the $29 it was in 1995. To take advantage of this opportunity, call Veterinary House Calls at (973)729-7121 or visit the Pet Centre at 9 Main Street, across from the post offi
