Vivaldi's ‘Gloria' featured at winter concert

Vernon - The Community Choral Society will present its Winter Concert, “Carols and Exaltations,” at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 3. The program will feature Vivaldi’s “Gloria” and holiday music from around the world. The concert will take place at St. Thomas Episcopal Church on Route 94 in Vernon. Refreshments will be served after the concert. The Community Choral Society is led by director Fred Irwin and accompanied by Eleanore O’ Mara of Vernon. Funding for the event has been made available in part by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a partner agency of the National Endowment for the Arts, through the State/County Partnership Block Grant Program, as administered by the Sussex County Arts and Heritage Council.
