Volunteer training set

Newton - Helping Horseshoe Therapeutic Riding Club, Inc., is offering an orientation and training session for prospective new volunteers on at 3 p.m., March 25 at Yellow Iris Farm. The club operates year-round on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturday with indoor and outdoor areas, eight horses and ponies and three staff members plus 30 to 40 volunteers. Recreational English and Western group and private lessons are offered. A summer camp is also available. Children with cognitive, emotional, physical and psychological disabilities are served. In addition, lessons and training for mainstream riders are offered in hunt seat, Western, saddle seat, dressage and driving and a camp for these youngsters is available as well.
