Hopatcong senior Teresa Turnage (trombone) auditioned for and was accepted to the North Jersey Area Band on Dec. 7 at Wayne Hills High School. She competed with 400 students from 39 high schools in Sussex, Morris, Essex, Passaic and Bergen Counties. Teresa placed third in all auditing trombones, earning her a spot in the prestigious Wind Ensemble. She will participate in five intense rehearsals to work on challenging literature, and then perform a concert at Mt.
