Anthony Piccirillo receives first honors at Georgetown

    Glenwood - Anthony Carmen Piccirillo of Glenwood achieved first honors for academic accomplishments during the fall 2005 semester at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. He is one of 495 of the 6,700 undergraduate students at the school to be recognized with first honors. To receive first honors a student must earn a grade point average of 3.9 or better on a 4.0 scale. This is the highest semester academic recognition at Georgetown. “We are extremely proud of Anthony’s accomplishments at Georgetown,” said John J. DeGioia, president of the university. “Anthony’s academic achievements speak to the talent, work ethic and the outstanding quality of Georgetown’s student body.”
