Area students named to dean's list

    Syracuse, N.Y. — Several local students enrolled in the School of Education at Syracuse University were among those named to the Dean’s List for the fall semester. To qualify for the Deans List, students must achieve at least a 3.4 grade point average on a 4.0 scale during the semester. Area scholars recognized include Kenneth Hom of Hackettstown, a sophomore majoring in music education; Diane Schaming of Sparta, a senior majoring in music education; and Alison Soccio of Stanhope, a freshman majoring in music education. Syracuse University’s School of Education, which celebrates its centennial this year, is committed to the principle that diverse learning communities create the conditions that both enrich the educational experience and provide opportunities for all to realize their full potential.
