Area students named to Dean's list
Meghan Kohl and Valerie Powers, both enrolled in the Martin J. Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University, were named to the deans list for the Spring 2005 semester. To qualify, students must achieve at least a 3.4 grade point average, on a 4.0 scale, during the semester. Kohl, a resident of Andover, is majoring in marketing management and retailing. Powers, a resident of Stanhope, is majoring in finance. The Martin J. Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University educates students to become leaders in a rapidly changing global economy. With a foundation in the liberal arts, students become grounded in the issues and challenges of today's business environment, as well as the core principles of management. The faculty include internationally known scholars and researchers, along with successful entrepreneurs and business leaders. Jenna Bergamo, of Stanhope, a sophomore at Wake Forest University, made the dean's list for the Spring 2005 semester, for achieving a 3.0 or higher grade point average.
