Boy Scout earns Eagle rank

ANDOVER — Troop 85 of Andover and Newton is proud to announce their newest Eagle Scout, Matthew Gramcko, of Andover. Gramcko is the son of Peggy Burns and Gary Gramcko of Andover. Gramcko was presented with his Eagle Award on Saturday, Jan. 7. His Eagle project involved refurbishing the flag pole at the Long Pond School in Andover. The project beautified the area surrounding the flag pole, adding two park benches as well as shrubs and flowers. Members of Troop 85 along with his family and friends assisted Gramcko in completing his project, amassing over 150 hours. Troop 85 has seen 14 Scouts earn the Eagle rank since 2005.
