College notes

James Jasinski of Sparta was awarded a Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilkes University on August 27, 2011. James majored in Entrepreneurship and was named to the deans list for the Spring 2011 semester. Kaitlin McGuire of Sparta is serving an internship this fall at Northumberland Co. Adult Probation. She is a sophomore majoring in sociology at Susquehanna University. McGuire’s responsibilities include observing and participating in office contact with offenders, and attending various types of court hearings. McGuire is a 2010 graduate of Pope John XXIII High School and is the daughter of Michael and Maureen McGuire. Kevin Christopher Rose, of Sussex, was among 684 students from Miami University who graduated in the summer term. Rose received a Doctor of Philosophy degree.
