Downing and Warr named to Y posts

Hardyston - The Sussex County YMCA recently appointed Jim Downing, owner of Downing Furniture, as chairman of the board of managers. Downing has been a member of the board for over 10 years. In addition, Frank Warr, an architect with Houghton, Quarty and Warr, was appointed to the board. Warr was selected for his “expertise, civic-minded reputation and his relentless dedication to the Sussex County YMCA,” according to a statement issued by the organization. “We are grateful to have the help and support of these individuals, who selflessly volunteer their time and energy to support us,” said Richard K. Gorab, president and CEO of the Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges. “Their unwavering dedication to our organization embodies everything that the YMCA stands for.” Kurt Haas, executive director of the Sussex County YMCA, added, “Our YMCA has a long and distinguished history of providing services and programs to the communities we serve.
