Green resident completes Marine boot camp

GREEN — Private First Class Derek Bottoni of Green Township recently completed basic training, an intensive twelve week program at Parris Island, SC. After returning home for a 10-day leave, Bottoni traveled to Camp Lejeune, NC, to complete his marine combat training. Bottoni is presently assigned to the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, CA, where he is training to be a linguist Bottoni is a 2008 graduate of Newton High School and attended Sussex County Community College. He is the son of Ron and Kathy Bottoni of Green Township.
