Lafayette - Tara Ashley Peterson of Lafayette has been awarded a Merit Scholarship to attend the college’s campus in West Paterson. The scholarships were awarded based upon academic achievement in high school. “It is an honor to recognize the academic accomplishments of these high school seniors by awarding them scholarships to attend Berkeley College,” said Dr. Mildred Garcia, Berkeley College president. “As a college that values diversity, fosters academic growth and recognizes the potential of each student, Berkeley College looks forward to welcoming these scholarship recipients to our campuses in the coming year.” Each year, the college awards up to $14 million in financial aid to eligible students in need. In addition to West Paterson, Berkeley maintains two other campuses in New Jersey, in Paramus and Woodbridge. Berkeley also plans to welcome students to its newest location, at 536 Broad Street in Newark, this fall. For information, log on to BerkeleyCollege.edu.
