Locals complete undergraduate studies at Susquehanna University

    Two area natives received diplomas as Susquehanna University closed its 149th academic year with annual commencement exercises on Sunday, May 13, in Selingsgrove, Pa. Larry A. Fisher, of Sparta, earned a Bachelor of Music degree in music education. Fisher is the son of Larry and Nancy Fisher and a graduate of Sparta High School. He is listed in Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges, having received the Phi Mu Alpha Collegiate Honor Award for significant contributions to the men’s music fraternity’s chapter, school or community. Megan A. MacFarlane, of Sparta, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education with a minor in French. She is and the daughter of Ken and Linda MacFarlane and a graduate of Sparta High School.
