Beatrice F. Eriksen
Beatrice F. Eriksen passed into eternal life on Friday, Feb. 17, at Newton Memorial Hospital with her loving family by her side. Beatrice was born in New York City to Charles and June (Luddy) Flax. She graduated from St. Helenas Business School in 1962. She had been a resident of Byram Township for the last 46 years. Mrs. Eriksen was employed for 28 years as the records clerk with the Byram Township Police Department retiring in 2001. She enjoyed spending quality time with her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. She also took pleasure in spending time tracing her family's ancestry. She supported many charitable causes both with her time and financially. She is predeceased by her two brothers; Andrew and Edward Loren Flax. Beatrice is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, John Eriksen of Byram Township; a daughter, Diane Simmons and her husband James of Hardyston; a son Daniel of Byram; five grandchildren; Liriel and Tayla Eriksen, Zeno Schuszter, and Samantha, Sean and Jake Simmons. She is also survived by her brothers Charles, Thomas, and Daniel and his wife Maureen; and her sisters Laura, Ellen Carroll and her husband Kevin and her sister-in-law Mary Flax and many nieces and nephews.
