Lambert G. Johanson Jr. of Newton passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2023, at his residence. He was 62.
Born in Brooklyn to the late Lambert G. Johanson Sr. and Edith (Detloff) Hopper, he lived in Haskell before moving to Sussex County 15 years ago.
Lambert had many jobs in his lifetime: landscaping, boiler work, gas attendant and cook, to name a few.
He loved his family, friends and the people he worked with.
He also loved walking, fishing, gardening and being outdoors.
Lambert is survived by his sisters, Ingrid Johanson of Hardwick, Grace Rhinesmith of Jefferson, Mary Olsen of North Carolina and Karen Hopper of Florida; brother, Michael Olsen Sr. of Franklin; as well as many nephews and nieces. He was lovingly known as “Uncle Skip.”
Private cremation services have been entrusted to the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank St. (Route 23), Sussex.
