    Bloomsburg University Twenty students from Sussex County were named to the dean’s list at Bloomsburg University in Bloomsburg, Pa., for the first semester of the 2005-2006 academic year. To qualify for the dean’s list, a student must earn a quality point average of 3.5 or higher (based on 4.0) during the semester. Named to the list were Katelyn Waldron (management) and Thomas Joiner (criminal justice) of Andover; Daniel Benkendorf, (communication studies) and Lisa Braun, (history) of Branchville; Jessica Zschack, (special education) and Meghan Nilan, (history) of Franklin; Jennifer Liddell, (elementary education), Nicole Bond, (elementary education) and Shannon Christiano (special education) of Highland Lakes; Danielle Falconi (special education) and Ryan Hynson (sociology) of Hopatcong; Scott Davis (management) of Lake Hopatcong; Alison Adams (elementary education) and Erin Schollmeyer (marketing) of Newton; Karen Ellsworth (communication studies) of Sparta; Megan Fleming (special education) of Stockholm; Kathleen McPeek (special education) and Lauren Start (early childhood and elementary education) of Sussex; and Dana Zinn (sociology) and Danielle Burke (elementary education) of Vernon. Bloomsburg University is one of 14 universities in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. The university serves approximately 8,000 students and offers 65 bachelor’s, 18 master’s and one doctoral degree.
