Pass It Along receives state award

    SPARTA — Pass it Along was named an Honoree in the 2012 New Jersey State Governor’s Jefferson Awards in the category, Youth Volunteer Group. The Governor’s Jefferson Awards for Volunteerism honor individual or group volunteer efforts that achieve measurable community impact and represent outstanding acts of public service without the expectation of recognition or compensation. Honorees for the NJ State Governor’s Jefferson Awards were chosen by committee members representing The Community Foundation of New Jersey, The Governor’s Office on Volunteerism, The Star-Ledger/NJ.com, and The Governor’s Advisory Council on Volunteerism. A recognition ceremony and dinner reception will be held on May 1at the Newark Museum in Newark.
