Pass It Along receives state award
SPARTA Pass it Along was named an Honoree in the 2012 New Jersey State Governors Jefferson Awards in the category, Youth Volunteer Group. The Governors Jefferson Awards for Volunteerism honor individual or group volunteer efforts that achieve measurable community impact and represent outstanding acts of public service without the expectation of recognition or compensation. Honorees for the NJ State Governors Jefferson Awards were chosen by committee members representing The Community Foundation of New Jersey, The Governors Office on Volunteerism, The Star-Ledger/NJ.com, and The Governors Advisory Council on Volunteerism. A recognition ceremony and dinner reception will be held on May 1at the Newark Museum in Newark.
