Scott Pontzer graduates from USAF Academy

Sparta — Second Lieutenant Scott A. Pontzer, a 2002 graduate of Pope John High School, has graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the United States Air Force.  Scott and his wife, Amanda (Sanford) Pontzer, also of Sparta, have relocated to Travis Air Force Base in California.  He will begin pilot training in the spring.
