STUDENT NOTES

Kyle Alan Faris, a resident of Glenwood, graduated with a bachelor of science degree in professional golf management from Clemson University in South Carolina on Dec. 22, 2011. The following local students were named to the fall 2011 Dean’s List at Kings College in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. Vincent Laconti and Alex Peslak, both of Highland Lakes; Paul Masker of Lafayette; Connor Karl and Luann Sensale, both from Sparta. Eric Roux of Vernon has been named to the Dean's List of High Point (North Carolina) University for the fall 2011 semester. Jamie Roberts of Highland Lakes received the Nicholas Martini Foundation Scholarship. Roberts attends Villanova (Pa.) University and is majoring in business. Katie Baldwin of Wantage is set to begin a professional student teaching semester through Lycoming (Pa.) College. Baldwin will be placed at Jersey Shore Area School District in Jersey Shore, Pa. Michael Mingo of Vernon was named to the Dean's List for the fall semester 2011 at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pa. He is a 2011 graduate of Vernon High School.
